LoRaWAN network was deployed in a short time to organize smart farming in the fields of Agromino.
At the first stage of the Agro project, two agricultural districts with a total area of more than 20,000 ha were selected in the vicinity of the Bila Tserkva and Kharkiv.
In the fields of Agromino, together with partners CleverFarm and ELKO EP, 48 ELKO EP sensors were installed and connected in the IoT Ukraine network. This allows collecting data from weather stations – measuring temperature, the humidity of air and soil, direction and strength of the wind.
In addition to usual sensors, a precision farming system has also been installed in selected areas to assess potential yields.
On the IoT Ukraine network, CleverFarm offers a simple application that collects farmer data from weather stations, smart sensors, and other IoT products. Services also include satellite imagery, as well as advanced analytical and forecasting tools. Thanks to them, farmers are constantly and timely informed about everything that happens in controlled places (in fields or storage). Farmers can quickly respond to a potential problem associated with drought, humidity deviation, or temperature increases — all without having to constantly go around large areas and “manually” check stored products.
